James grew up and went to school in Kenilworth, Warwickshire. Around 8 years old, he read “It Shouldn’t Happen to a Vet” and decided being a vet sounded like rather good fun! James graduated from Cambridge Vet School in 2018 attaining merits in all four veterinary disciplines in his 6th year finals. James joined our team in September 2018 and has a particular interest in internal medicine, finding the way the body’s systems work together fascinating.
Outside of work, James is a flautist to ATCL diploma level and, since moving to King’s Lynn, has taken up piano lessons. He also enjoys gardening and loves hill walking, particularly in the Lake District. James and his partner share a house with a very vocal, very fluffy, black and white cat called Latte, who he adopted from Cats Protection at Stowbridge. Her talents include bringing home mini sausage rolls and immediately flopping to the floor when someone rubs her back!
